Pre-arrival Checklist
There will be many things that you will need to consider before you leave for Iran and to study at TUOMS. To help you prepare for your arrival at TUOMS, please see the following general checklist.

1- Consider the Registration Deadline
The registration deadline for each semester will be stated in your acceptance letter.

2- Prepare Your Transcripts / Degree Certificates
To prepare official transcripts / degree certificates follow the steps bellow:
• Request official transcripts / degree certificates from every secondary institute /university attended.
• Provide translation of official transcripts / degree certificate in to English, if your documents are in any language other than English.
•Take the original official transcripts / degree certificates and original translated version of them to Iran’s embassy or consulate in order to be legalized.  

3- Obtain Your Student Visa from your Home Country
After your admission to TUOMS, as a newly admitted international student you need to obtain your student visa and arrive in Iran. Your student visa is necessary to travel and study in Iran as an international student. You cannot come to Iran as a visitor and switch your visa status. We cannot enroll you on a visitor visa, so you would not be able to register to TUOMS. To get your student visa you need to:
• Wait for your visa note: Visa note is a visa document issued by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and received by TUOMS. Visa note is deferent from student visa. It is a necessary document to obtain student visa.  We will send your visa note to your email address within two business days after receiving it. Note that the visa note is valid for two months and issued only once.
• Refer to Iran’s embassy or consulates in your home country and get your student visa: Within two month of receiving the visa note, while having your valid passport and visa note on your person refer to Iran’s embassy or consulates and get your student visa. Student visa is a necessary document for university registration. It is valid for one month and upon your request on your application form is issued by Iran’s embassy or consulates.      
Note, if you do not fill out the “passport and visa info” section of the application form we will reserve the right to determine the issuing place of your student visa.
 
4- Prepare Registration Documents 
The needed registration documents include:
• Your birth certificate
• Your ID card
• Your passport
• Six 3*4 passport photos  
• Original and English versions of personal documents legalized by the Iranian embassy or consulate
• Original version of your transcripts / latest degree certificate
• Original English version of your transcripts / latest degree certificate legalized by Iranian embassy or consulate
Note, it is very important that you bring these documents with you to Iran on your person for TUOMS registering process.
