The "3rd Pulmonary Vascular Disease Congress" Held at TUOMS

The "3rd International Pulmonary Vascular Diseases Congress" was held by Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in association with Iranian Society of Pulmonology at Tabriz El Goli Pars Hotel on 27-28 June, 2019.
Dr. Farid Rashidi, executive secretary of the congress expressed that 11 prominent international speakers from such countries as Japan, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic and Turkey participated in this congress. In addition, 2 speakers from Italy and the USA presented their lectures via Skype call. He cited the following titles as the main topics of the congress:
     1 - Primary pulmonary hypertension
     2 - A review of "6th World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension" in Nice- France
     3 - Invasive treatment on acute pulmonary embolism
     4 - A review of chronic pulmonary embolism and thromboendarterectomy and discussing the experiences of domestic centers
     5- A review of the problems of pulmonary vascular disease due to congenital heart diseases
     6 - Secondary pulmonary hypertension associated with liver, kidney, and lung diseases and the effects on transplant prognosis
     7 - Secondary pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart disease
Catheterism workshop and echocardiographic assessment of the right heart was also held alongside the congress for the pulmonologists and cardiologists.
The Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI) sponsored the trip of following people to Tabriz:
