For the first time in Asia, Iran: Performing tibial nerve simulation surgery for neurogenic bladder treatment in Tabriz

This method was conducted as minimally invasive surgery during 21 minutes without general anesthesia.
The 3rd Tabriz International Functional Urology congress was held on 6-7 November 2019 in Tabriz. During the congress, tibial nerve simulation surgery was performed for neurogenic bladder treatment for the first in Asia, Iran in Tabriz.
This surgery which was conducted by urogynecology surgery team of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and Dr. Rahnamai, urologist working in Germany and the Netherlands, is performed on patients with urge urinary incontinence and interstitial cystitis who didn’t give response to common treatments.
