The report of the World Health Organization team on COVID-19 after visiting Iran
Dr. Mohsen Asadi Lari, General Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Iranian Health Ministry, delivered a letter to the Ministry of Health and directors of various departments regarding the report of the World Health Organization (WHO) team on COVID-19 after visiting Iran.

 
The WHO delegation visited Iran during 3-13 March 2020 and held meetings with the concerned officials about the country's actions against COVID-19. The visit was attended by representatives of the Chinese Red Cross and the German Robert Koch institute.
As Dr. Asadi Lari expressed: "The report pointed out the determination of appropriate priorities and approaches in Iran on early diagnosis and treatment, increasing the diagnostic test capacity of COVID-19 with the coordination of the Pasteur Institute, allocation of specific hospitals to COVID-19 patients, and the commitment of physicians and medical staff and the quality of services offered."
Such measurements as social spacing, school closures, suspension of public gatherings, and imposing travel restrictions were also included in the report regarding the fight against COVID-19.
This report also stressed the cooperation and extensive involvement of media and social networks, religious leaders, private sectors, and celebrities in efforts to fight COVID-19.
