Professor Fiona Bull, director of the Centre for the Built Environment and Health at the University of Western Australia held a 5-day workshop on "Promoting Physical Activity" at the conference hall of the National Public-health Management Center (NPMC) from 24 to 28 May, 2015.
This program which was fulfilled with the efforts of Dr. Mahasti Alizadeh (Director of Social Determinants of Health Research Center) and in collaboration with the Health Services Management Research Center, the Vice Chancellor for Health and the supports of WHO regional office in Iran was attended by some national officials from Noncommunicable Diseases Bureau, physical activity trainers, and representatives from the health deputies of Iranian medical universities. The aim of this workshop was to present guidelines to improve physical activity status among young students, ladies, and office staff. There was also a macro goal, namely promoting exercise facilities in the city and publicizing regular physical activity in the society.
