This centre, after late Dr. Majidi established in 1997 based on the standards set by the Ministry of Health, Medical Care and Education and is now one of the active and successful centers in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology in Iran.
Over 30 treatment cycles for IVF, ICSI and 100 to 150 treatment cycles for IUI are accomplished in this center monthly. The infertility center is located at Alzahra education and treatment Hospital and is affiliated to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. The aim of establishing this center is providing a wide range of infertility Treatments for the infertile couple, training students and specialists of basic and clinical sciences and doing research in the field of fertility and infertility.

Achieved successes: So far, in this center, a large number of infertile couples have had children via IUI, IVF, and ICSI. The first healthy baby through IVF was born in Nov. 1999 and the first healthy baby through ICSI was born in Mar. 2001.
Research Activities:
Research on the causes of infertility and developing new methods of treatment are among the aims of this center. The result of which have been the publication of scientific articles and training masters, doctorate and Ph.D students. Center has been repeatedly sent abroad to study the latest treatment methods.
