 AREAS OF RESEARCH

Phsiology:

• Neurophysiology : Microdialysis researches are  being carried out in which secretions of neural mediators and neuromodulators in different parts of brain are studied. These are particulary in connection with behavioral physiology.

• Physiology of respiratory systems : In this field, the mechanisms involved in the regulation of respiratory function particulary those responsible for the enhancement of pulmonary ventilation during physical exercises, are investigated.

• Cardiovascular physiology: Research in this area includes the rheology of blood, the pathophysiology of coronary arteries, and carotid baroreflex. A major field of study is held on the variations in the severity and pattern of baroreflexes under different health diseases conditions.

• Hypothermia : This includes the study of hypothermia in animal models, and the effect of a period of moderate hypothermia on physiological parameters.

 Medical Physics:

• Tridimentional dose measurement in radiotherapy

• Effect of radiation dose on prevention of GVHD

• Effect of radiation cell cycle
